The Furiosa collection was made as modern armor for women. The challenges we face can make daily life feel like a battlefield and this ear cuff is a reminder that you will be victorious. It's meant to give you strength and is a reminder of the extraordinary power you hold.
This ear cuff is inspired by one of my favorite fictional heroines, Furiosa from the movie Mad Max: Fury Road. It's a man's world and there are so many women fighting hard to make it their own, this is the central theme of the Mad Max story as Furiosa rescues five wives being held as slaves. In the story, the women overcome the male gaze, which often hinders us, using the female body as a weapon. Although the wives aren't physically strong and have no experience with combat, unlike conventional hero characters, they are not automatically rendered powerless. In one powerful scene, one woman uses her own pregnant body to shield Furiosa, using her fertility as a powerful weapon to protect the other women. It is a reminder that sometimes our perceived weaknesses can be our greatest strengths.
